HELLO ASIA! :)

10.08.2013 - 15.08.2013
As you can see, another blog, another place I visited. This was my first stop in Asia, Nepal!!! The flight from Brussels to Nepal, Kathmandu was 17 hour 55 minute flight with a 6 hour 45 minute layover. This long 7055 km ride was a well spent $920. I'm sad to say I'm in my last region already but it has been awesome and I can't wait to explore Asia. Especially since I met up with my mom here (she knows people and has asian hookups). In Kathmandu I did a 4 day tour. (I know, I'm here for 5 days, but I needed to take a break for one day and rest - SO tired from the travelling.) The first place I visited was theDurbar Square which is the plaza located in front of the old royal palace of Kathmandu. It was a nice place to take an evening stroll with my mom.
Nepalese food consists of a lot of spices and boy are they delicious. I had traditional Nepali food including Daal Bhat which is rice and side dishes. It looked like this:
The next day I went to Swayambhunath, which is a Buddhist stupa(temple). And another Buddhist temple called Boudhanath which is the largest stupa in the world.

I also went on a mountain flight where I got to see a breathtaking view of the Himalayan mountains including Mount Everest.
This is a picture of the golden gate which is the gate to the 55-window palace:
I'm done my blog today for Nepal, which is a beautiful place. SO glad I got to see the Himalayan mountains and Mount everest before I died! I'll talk to you in my next destination SEE YA!!
